Forget PowerPoint slides—Matt Vause, our Group Marketing Manager, was busy making power plays last weekend at the Yorkshire Over-40s Masters Basketball Tournament held in York!
In a whirlwind two-day showdown, Matt and the rest of his Sheffield Storm team kicked things off by toppling the 3-time reigning champs—and they did it in a borrowed Bristol Flyers kit, no less, following some last minute logistics issues.
Day two brought even tougher competition, with Teeside Warriors and Doncaster Seahawks pushing the squad to the limit. But with grit, hustle and a whole lot of heart, the Storm team clinched the title in a nail-biting final to be crowned Over 40s Champions – this time proudly rocking their trusty TC Harrison Ford-sponsored kit.
Massive congrats to Matt for bringing home the win and proving that you can indeed, teach old dogs new tricks!
