As a big fan of the Tour de France, Ian Nicolle, Service Manager at Peterborough, set himself a challenge to climb a category 1 mountain that was used in this years Tour to see how hard it was.
While on Holiday in the south west of France Ian decided to conquer the Col Du Tourmalet in the Pyrenees at 2115 Metres.
Ian stated that, ‘It was defiantly the hardest morning on my bike and even had to contend with cows and goats half way up but also the most rewarding when I saw the last corner and the Summit.
Ian’s looking forward to setting himself a new challenge in 2025. I’m sure any suggestions for Ian will be welcome 🙂
