We’re chuffed to announce Pete Braybrook’s appointment as the new Divisional Director and Dealer Principal at TC Harrison JCB. With over two decades of experience in the plant industry, Pete has worked his way up the hard way—through graft, dedication, and a genuine focus on the people he works with and serves.
Pete’s journey started on a farm in plant hire, where he learned the ropes with hands-on experience. After a short stint with a competitor, he joined TCH, selling compaction equipment, and soon found his feet within the company. Along the way, he’s benefited from working under some great leaders and mentors who’ve helped shape his approach to leadership.
When Bill Sutton brought Pete into the fold, it marked the beginning of a journey that saw him develop and grow alongside the business. After Bill retired, Robert Wilson took over, and for the past 17 years, Robert has played a pivotal role in mentoring Pete, passing on his knowledge and experience.
Now, as Robert transitions to Operations Director, it’s with a sense of Yorkshire pragmatism and respect that we celebrate his tireless energy and commitment over the years. His decision to step back from the top role wasn’t taken lightly, but it was driven by his desire to focus on the mechanics of the business and ensure Pete’s transition was seamless. Robert’s influence has been immense—not just in the growth of TCH JCB but also in shaping the ethos of teamwork and customer-first principles that Pete now carries forward.
Pete steps into the top role with a clear vision for the future: keeping things simple, focused, and always putting the customer first. His leadership style is straight-talking and practical. He’s a firm believer in everyone pulling in the same direction, and he doesn’t mince his words: “Get on my bus or get off.” But behind that no-nonsense approach is someone who truly values the team around him. For Pete, success isn’t about personal accolades, it’s about everyone working together to deliver for the customer and the business.
Pete’s grounded nature and respect for the people he works with stand out. He knows that success doesn’t happen in isolation it’s about the collective effort of a strong, motivated team. With Pete at the helm, TCH JCB is set to build on its successes, continue innovating, and maintain its commitment to putting the customer at the heart of everything.
A big congratulations to Pete as he steps into this new role. With his pragmatic approach, determination, and focus on teamwork, there’s no doubt he’ll lead TCH JCB into an exciting new chapter. And to Robert, thank you for everything. Your dedication, leadership, and willingness to pass the baton with such grace have set the stage for even greater success ahead.
