We have been undergoing a review of our business hours following the employment survey most participated in recently, along with ever increasing utility costs from gas, oil & electricity companies, and our own experience day in day out.
Our conclusions having discussed these matters with Supervisors and Managers, taking in the whole staff opinion from the employee survey into account, and comparing ourselves to all other UK & Ireland JCB Dealers is that we will from Monday the 8th November 2021 reduce our daily opening hours, closing the gates now at 530pm from Monday to Friday daily, and continuing to open from 8am to 12 noon on Saturdays.
Colleagues affected by this decision will be notified and their revised hours discussed with them individually by their Manager/Supervisors immediately.
We will write to Brit European and ensure they respect these revised opening times, and in fact try to ensure that they off load particularly during the winter by 4pm each day.
This latest amendment to our business, along with the previously announced cost of living increase, the “one off” Bonus in December pay (both subject to signing & returning the new contracts once issued by a specific date), and the improved annual holiday entitlement, are all excellent developments that should help our work life balances, and continue to demonstrate to you our employees that we value each and every one of you.
The employee survey for tchjcb continues to be unpacked, and many of these developments are because of the comments made, investment in depot tooling has also been accelerated recently, along with attending to some depot issues over the next few months.
